In Act-3 of The Doll House, Nora confesses her forging of the letter to Torvald. Torvald then held no plan in helping her solve the problem. She then decided she was going to leave Torvald. This shocks him as he constantly begs her not to leave. She takes off her expensive dress as he tells Torvald to take care of the children to himself and then she leaves.
